Group ceremony (50-200 new citizens). Local official presides. Australian national anthem plays. You take pledge.
The Pledge
'From this time forward, under God (or without reference to God - option available), I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people...' You raise right hand and recite.
Certificate Awarded
You receive citizenship certificate in person. This is your proof of citizenship (for passport, other documents).
Significance
Legally and emotionally significant. You're officially Australian. Family usually attends. Celebrated as major life event.
